Barbara became a household name in the United States after her work on twelve unsuccessful films. She was a Jeannie in the popular American sitcom "I I Dream of Jeannie". Kolber, a native of Pennsylvania she earned her master's degree at the University of Miami. Kolber began her career as a coordinator of video for CBS Sports in New York City. She earned an award for a regional Sports Emmy during her tenure at WTVJ-TV in Miami. Other jobs she held included WPLG-TV Miami & WPEC-TV West Palm Beach. In 1993, when ESPN2 was launched in the year 1993, she was one of the anchors who first joined it. The station stayed with her until ESPN2 till Fox Sports hired her. She was back at ESPN as host in 1999.
